The Department for Education API Catalogue can be accessed by any user without the need to login or go through any form of authentication, if the intention is to only view the list of available APIs. And by default, users who are not signed in can only see those APIs listed as public.

However, all users will need an account to consume any API available within the API catalogue which is part of the Department for Education (DfE) Find and Use an API Consumption Portal including those listed as public.
